Our Purpose
Rooted in Community
Why We Exist
Conscious Coffee, Conscious Business
At Kaldi & Kapra, every choice we make — from the coffee we brew to the food we serve — is guided by a commitment to people, place and planet. We believe that a café can be a force for good.
We work directly with small-scale Guatemalan coffee farmers and local food producers, ensuring fair prices, transparency and long-term relationships that benefit communities beyond our walls.
Our Commitments
How We Do Business
Direct Trade
We buy directly from farmers at fair prices, cutting out middlemen and ensuring growers receive what they deserve.
Local First
Whenever possible, we source ingredients within Guatemala, reducing our carbon footprint and supporting local economies.
Zero Waste
Coffee grounds go to our garden, packaging is compostable, and food waste is composted with local farmers.
Community Investment
A portion of our revenue supports barista training programs for youth in Antigua and surrounding communities.
Giving Back
Community & Social Impact
At Kaldi & Kapra, doing business responsibly is not a marketing strategy — it is the foundation of how we operate. We are committed to making a measurable, positive difference in Antigua and beyond.
